Process Controller / Control Room Operator (CCR Operator)

About the role

The Process Controller / Control Room Operator will manage and monitor the seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plant using DCS/SCADA systems. You will ensure stable plant operation, maintain water quality, and support maintenance activities while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SWRO plant processes via DCS/SCADA.
• Control intake, pretreatment, DAF, ultrafiltration, high‑pressure pumps, RO trains, chemical dosing, and product water distribution.
• Respond to alarms, process deviations and take corrective actions.
• Record operational data, prepare shift reports and maintain accurate logs.
• Monitor water quality parameters and analyse performance trends.
• Coordinate with field operators during start‑up, shutdown and emergencies; supervise field activities from the control room.
• Assist maintenance teams with troubleshooting, equipment isolation, instrument calibration and preventive maintenance.
• Follow HSE procedures, permit‑to‑work requirements and ensure compliance with environmental and water‑quality regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
