Procurement & Contracts Manager (Capital Projects)

About the role

A leading organization is seeking an experienced Procurement & Contracts Manager to lead procurement and contracting activities across major capital projects. The role will develop sourcing strategies, manage tendering and contracting processes, and provide commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement and contracting activities for capital projects from planning through contract award and execution.
• Develop and implement sourcing and contracting strategies aligned with project objectives and business requirements.
• Manage end‑to‑end tendering processes, including bid preparation, evaluation, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and approval processes.
• Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project teams and key stakeholders, and mitigate related risks.
• Oversee contractor and supplier performance to ensure service levels, contractual obligations and project deliverables are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contracts or commercial management within capital projects, infrastructure or construction.
• Proven track record of managing major tenders, supplier negotiations and contract awards.
• Strong understanding of procurement governance, commercial management and contract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop procurement or contracts teams.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, MCIPS, PMP or equivalent are advantageous.
