Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to lead the end‑to‑end procurement of technical materials and services for our Oil & Gas projects in Doha. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, cost‑effective sourcing, and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle for technical items, from requisition to contract administration.
• Prepare, evaluate, negotiate, and issue purchase orders and contracts.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align procurement planning with project schedules.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, tendering, bid analysis, and commercial negotiations.
• Expedite orders and monitor delivery to guarantee on‑time receipt of materials.
• Resolve procurement‑related issues, supplier discrepancies, and non‑conformance matters.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier data in SAP.
• Ensure adherence to company procurement procedures, audit requirements, and HSE standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and supplier relationship management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 6–7+ years of procurement experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong background in EPC projects or operational procurement.
• Proven expertise in sourcing technical materials and services.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP or other P2P ERP systems (SAP mandatory).
• Excellent commercial negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract administration, and supply‑chain processes.
