Programme Support Intern – Gulf Area Office (Qatar, 3 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Programme Support Intern for its Gulf Area Office in Qatar for a three‑month assignment. The intern will assist in implementing education‑related programmes in partnership with the Ministry of Education and other local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Child‑Friendly Cities Initiative and preparation for international assessments such as TIMSS and PISA.
• Follow up on work‑plan activities, maintain contact with partners and finalize terms of reference for Early Learning Standards and Inclusive Education Framework.
• Participate in programme meetings, record proceedings and liaise with UNICEF staff, Ministry officials and other UN agencies.
• Contribute to programme monitoring, results tracking and preparation of regular and ad‑hoc reports.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within past year) from an undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate programme.
• Strong interest in child rights, education and development issues.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
