Project Controls Director – Power Projects

About the role

The Project Controls Director will lead all project control activities for large‑scale power plant construction programmes, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery while meeting contractual and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, baselines, critical paths and recovery plans using Primavera P6.
• Establish and operate cost control systems, monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow and analyse variances.
• Implement Earned Value Management and progress measurement reporting, delivering executive dashboards and regular performance updates.
• Lead risk and change management processes, assess schedule and cost impacts, and support EOT claims and dispute resolution.
• Manage multidisciplinary project controls teams, mentor planners and cost engineers, and coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Define KPI frameworks, drive digital reporting, and ensure compliance with international project controls standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive EPC experience on thermal, combined‑cycle, gas‑fired, renewable power plants, substations and related infrastructure.
• Proven leadership of project controls functions across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PSP are advantageous.
