Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer supports the Package Lead and Project Management team by overseeing day‑to‑day construction activities on large projects. The role involves reviewing contractor submittals, conducting site inspections, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect all construction work to verify compliance with contracts, codes, standards, and drawings.
• Follow up with contractors’ construction and QA/QC teams to resolve non‑conformances.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, method statements, as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and spare‑part lists.
• Collaborate with project and construction management to mitigate safety and environmental hazards.
• Witness quality‑control testing, testing & commissioning, and daily site inspections.
• Monitor physical progress percentages and report to the Package Lead, Planning Lead, and Quantity Surveyor.
• Organise discipline data for final project turnover and maintain records, back‑charge procedures, and progress reports.
• Provide timely comments on work inspection requests and ensure KPI compliance.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
