Project Inspection Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Project Inspection Coordinator to join a leading EPC organization delivering major oil & gas and energy projects in Qatar. The role involves overseeing inspection and testing activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review project quality control requirements and contractual documents to identify discrepancies and support supply‑chain management.
• Assist the Materials Manager (MM) in issuing QC procedures, finalising PMC and IDS, and classifying purchase order inspections.
• Coordinate the preparation and distribution of Inspection Assignment Packages to internal and external inspectors.
• Plan and organise Pre‑Inspection Meetings (PIM), liaise with vendors, sub‑vendors, clients and third‑party inspectors.
• Manage inspection notifications, ensure required documentation is available before inspections, and verify inspection reports in SAP.
• Issue Inspection Release Notes and Final Test Certificates in SAP after successful tests.
• Handle non‑conformities, punch lists, and Non‑Conformance Reports when inspections are unsatisfactory.
• Review and approve vendor Manufactured Data Books and evaluate external agency inspectors using I‑PERF.

Required profile

• Strong experience coordinating inspections and testing activities, including management of internal and third‑party inspectors.
• In‑depth knowledge of international codes, standards, manufacturing processes, welding, NDT and material inspection.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, reporting and complex inspection schedules.
• Solid understanding of the full supply‑chain lifecycle from engineering to installation.
• Experience with purchasing processes, vendor qualification and performance monitoring.
