Project Manager / Deputy Operations Manager – Oil & Gas EPC

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who will initially lead major manpower and project execution activities in the oil & gas sector and later transition into a Deputy Operations Manager role. The position is based in Qatar and involves overseeing complex EPC, shutdown, maintenance and manpower projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage EPC, shutdown, maintenance and manpower projects from initiation through to completion.
• Lead project execution while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, budget and schedule requirements.
• Plan, mobilize and manage manpower resources across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Monitor project performance, productivity and cost‑control measures.
• Support operational planning and contribute to the overall management of the manpower division.
• Assist in developing operational strategies and improving project delivery processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, shutdown, turnaround and maintenance projects.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of manpower deployment, project planning, resource allocation and operational management.
• Experience in GCC countries is highly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
