Public Relations Manager (Qatar)

About the role

Huawei, a global leader in information and communications technology, is seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager to strengthen its brand presence in Qatar. The role will lead strategic communication initiatives, manage media relations, and support the company’s reputation across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor local economic, regulatory, and sector‑specific developments and provide insights to leadership on risks and opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry bodies, chambers, regulators, partners, and community groups.
• Develop strategies to strengthen the company’s public image within Qatar’s business community.
• Manage relationships with local media, prepare press releases, coordinate interviews, and ensure accurate representation of the company.
• Lead communication planning during market disruptions, regulatory changes, or reputational risks.
• Position the company as a key voice in the country’s industry landscape through events, forums, and publications.
• Advise executives on public sentiment, stakeholder expectations, and communication strategies.
• Oversee corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned with the country’s vision.
• Ensure consistent messaging across all external communication channels.

Required profile

• 3–10 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or external affairs, preferably in Qatar.
• Strong understanding of Qatar’s economic landscape, regulatory bodies, and business culture.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, business, or a related field.
