About the role
The Public Relations Specialist will manage all government‑related documentation, legal paperwork and liaison with Qatari authorities to ensure full compliance with Qatar Labour Law, immigration rules and corporate licensing requirements. The role supports smooth business operations for GMG and its employees.
Key responsibilities
- Handle the application, renewal and cancellation of all licenses and permits required for the company’s operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to licenses, permits and other legal documentation.
- Prepare and submit documentation timely to regulatory bodies.
- Manage the complete preparation of documents for the issuance and renewal of trade licenses and permits.
- Communicate updates on government regulations to internal departments.
- Maintain and track records of personnel and commercial registration documents.
- Update PR expenses periodically and submit receipts.
- Process, renew and cancel employee visas, work permits and residence permits via government portals and in person.
- Coordinate mandatory onboarding formalities, including medical screenings, fingerprinting and blood‑group tests.
- Manage family sponsorship, business and multi‑entry visas for international staff and visitors.
- Stay up‑to‑date with Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Labour rule changes.
- Issue, renew and amend core corporate documents such as Commercial Registration, Trade/Signage License, Establishment Card and Tax Card.
- Represent the company at the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- Coordinate document attestation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies and local notaries.
- Act as the primary focal point for key Qatari authorities, including MOI, ADLSA, Traffic Department, Civil Defence and CID.
- Utilise online government portals (Metrash2, Ministry of Labour e‑services) and resolve any penalties, blocks or fines.
Required profile
- Proven experience handling government documentation, licensing and visa processes in Qatar.
- Strong knowledge of Qatar Labour Law, immigration regulations and corporate licensing frameworks.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to inform internal teams about regulatory changes.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple government authorities and manage complex paperwork.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Qatari government portals (Metrash2, Ministry of Labour e‑services).
