QA/QC Engineer – Interior Design & Fit‑Out

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous QA/QC Engineer to protect the design integrity, craftsmanship, and brand consistency of our interior fit‑out and renovation projects in Qatar. You will ensure every finish, fixture, and detail meets international standards while reflecting our brand identity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive site inspections and audits throughout all renovation, fit‑out, and installation phases, documenting defects and non‑conformities.
• Lead detailed FF&E audits, reviewing custom millwork, lighting, upholstery, and finishes against specifications.
• Monitor installation of sound‑absorptive materials and layered lighting schemes to guarantee intended ambience.
• Review shop drawings, design deliverables, and 2D/3D visualisations for accuracy, consistency, and compliance before final submission.
• Verify that interior elements, colours, textures, signage, and finishes align with global brand guidelines.
• Ensure materials, lighting, and furniture comply with building regulations, safety codes, and project specifications.
• Test and approve materials for intensive‑use standards, durability, fire resistance, and health regulations.
• Implement and maintain quality‑control procedures and documentation aligned with international benchmarks.
• Lead root‑cause analysis on defects and drive corrective actions with contractors.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and contractors to resolve quality issues swiftly.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in interior design & fit‑out, with at least 2–3 years in a dedicated QA/QC role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office.
• Deep knowledge of international quality standards, fire safety regulations, and FF&E specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
