QHSE Manager – Quality, Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

The QHSE Manager will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (QHSEMS). The role supports both marine and shore‑based operations, ensuring compliance with international standards, flag‑state regulations, client specifications and statutory legislation while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO standards and statutory requirements.
• Maintain certifications for applicable ISO standards and monitor compliance across all operations.
• Lead the company’s safety management programme, enforce ISM Code, ISPS Code, MLC, SOLAS, MARPOL and client HSE requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses and manage Permit‑to‑Work systems.
• Plan and execute internal audits, coordinate external certification audits and track corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental compliance, waste management, pollution prevention and sustainability initiatives.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and non‑conformities, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare for client audits (e.g., QatarEnergy) and maintain audit schedules and records.
• Design and deliver QHSE training programmes, toolbox talks and competency assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in QHSE management within marine and shore‑based operations.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Familiarity with ISM Code, ISPS Code, MLC, SOLAS and MARPOL regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, regulators and internal teams.
