About the role
UBS is seeking a senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for its digital trading platform serving Global Wealth Management in Europe and APAC.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement automated tests using Playwright, Selenium and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Contribute to the Testing Automation Framework and continuously improve the CI/CD toolchain.
- Analyze business requirements, create test cases based on acceptance criteria, and execute them in an Agile environment.
- Mentor team members, share knowledge, and support both automated and manual testing as needed.
Required profile
- Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, data‑heavy trading domain.
- Willingness to learn financial market concepts and trading workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Required skills
- JavaScript, TypeScript, Java programming.
- Playwright and Selenium UI test automation.
- Behaviour‑Driven Development (BDD) testing approaches.
- Experience with Kafka (beneficial) and CI/CD pipelines.
