Recreation Receptionist

About the role

The Recreation Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for guests using the property’s leisure facilities. This full‑time, onsite role ensures a welcoming atmosphere, provides information, and assists guests throughout their recreational experience.

Key responsibilities

• Inform guests about available facilities such as pools, beach, fitness centre, game room and children’s activity centre.
• Encourage participation, register guests, and schedule activities.
• Promote safety rules and monitor compliance within all recreation areas.
• Respond to emergencies according to local procedures and provide first‑aid assistance until medical services arrive.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process payments for rentals, activities and retail sales.
• Assist with private functions and group events hosted in recreation spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facilities, equipment and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management.

Required profile

• Excellent customer‑service orientation with clear, professional communication.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb independently (heavier items with assistance).
• Capability to work in varied environments, including wet, uneven or elevated surfaces.
• Awareness of safety protocols and willingness to act promptly in emergencies.

Required skills

• Operation of Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems.
• Cash handling and basic accounting procedures.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and information retrieval.
• First‑aid knowledge or certification.
