Reservations Sales Agent

About the role

The Reservations Sales Agent is responsible for handling all reservation inquiries, changes, and cancellations for The Ritz‑Carlton in Doha. You will interact with guests via phone, fax or mail, ensuring their needs are met while applying sales techniques to maximize revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability and rates.
• Explain guarantee, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Accommodate and document special requests and answer questions about property facilities and services.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue and upsell appropriate room categories.
• Enter and retrieve data in the reservation system, including special room codes such as complimentary rooms, employee discounts, and travel‑agent rates.
• Escalate guest concerns following proper procedures and adhere to all company policies and appearance standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect guest privacy.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a reservation system.
• Knowledge of sales techniques.
