Reservoir Engineer I

About the role

The Reservoir Engineer I will support technical studies for development and recovery optimization of the Al Shaheen reservoirs, integrating lessons learned from post‑mortems and well performance reports. The role is based in the Doha office and works under the Head of Reservoir Development & Growth.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to reservoir engineering studies that feed into Field Development and Appraisal Plans.
• Update and maintain full‑field reservoir models, including dynamic model updates and history matching.
• Provide inputs for Annual Reserves (ARR) and Long‑Term Plan production forecasts.
• Support appraisal programs, dynamic pilots, and post‑mortem analyses to de‑risk future developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; Master’s preferred in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in a subsurface organization, working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong communication, networking and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Full‑field reservoir modeling (static and dynamic).
• History matching and model updating.
• Reservoir performance analysis for annual reserves and long‑term planning.
• Appraisal and development study preparation.
