Residence Accountant

About the role

Four Seasons is hiring a Residence Accountant for its Residences at The Pearl-Qatar in Doha. The role safeguards the residence asset and financial resources so that homeowners' interests are protected and the reputation of Four Seasons as property manager is maintained. It works closely with the Regional Director of Finance on the financial administration of the residential operation.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day finance operations of the residence, including month-end statement and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Prepare management reports and analyses to support management decisions, and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Review and validate the allocation method of common costs between Resort and Residences, and ensure financial controls comply with policy.
• Review legal contracts of the residence, follow up renewals and keep them safe.
• Handle vendor payments, reconcile vendor accounts, negotiate costs with the Purchasing team and manage funds.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging, collect service charges and other charges, and maintain cash flow.
• Maintain a capital reserve account for FF&E, plant and machinery replacement, including a third-party reserve study where applicable.
• Process payroll for residence accountant employees and post month-end entries (bank, assessments, fees, accruals).
• Prepare the budget for the residence entity, forecast expenses regularly and keep actual spending within budget and the service charge budget.
• Prepare financial statements for the general meeting, attend Board and member meetings, and assist with P&L preparation and presentation.
• Support the Regional Director of Finance and the resort budget preparation, and advise on the legal implications of the management agreement, residence constitution and bylaws.
• Assist homeowners with daily inquiries about the homeowners' association.
