Residence Accountant

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl in Doha is looking for a Residence Accountant. The role safeguards the residence asset and financial resources so that homeowners' interests are protected and the reputation of Four Seasons as property manager is maintained. It supports the Regional Director of Finance in administering the financial aspects of the residential operation and ensures compliance with local and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day residence finances, prepare management reports and analyses, and review and validate the common cost apportionment method between Resort and Residences.
• Review legal contracts of the residence, follow up renewals and keep them safe.
• Handle vendor payments, reconcile vendor accounts periodically, negotiate costs with the Purchasing team and manage funds, including monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable aging, collect service charges and other charges, maintain a capital reserve for FF&E replacement and attend Board and Member meetings.
• Prepare month-end statements, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including financial statements for the general meeting.
• Assist the DOF with P&L preparation and presentation, and prepare the Residence budget, ensuring expenses stay within budget through regular forecasting.
• Process payroll for residence accountant employees, post ME entries (bank, assessments, fees, accruals) and review the P&L with the DOF and DORES.
• Understand the legal impact of the Management Agreement, residence constitution and by-law in discussions with lawyers, and assist homeowners with daily inquiries about the Homeowner Association.
