RMC Supervisor – Roads Management Centre

About the role

The RMC Supervisor leads the Roads Management Centre (RMC) operations on assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and contract‑compliant management of Qatar’s road network 24/7. You will provide operational leadership to the control‑room team, oversee incident and tunnel management, and act as the primary escalation point during emergencies and major events.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all RMC operations during the shift, maintaining continuous traffic, ITS, and tunnel services.
• Directly manage RMC Team Leaders and Operators, ensuring proper staffing and workload distribution.
• Serve as senior operational authority during incidents, emergencies, severe weather, and critical system failures, following the approved escalation matrix.
• Authorize, monitor, and withdraw traffic management response plans, including diversions, lane closures, speed management, DMS, LCS, and tunnel procedures.
• Maintain situational awareness via CCTV, OMNIA/ATMS, SCATS, Tunnel Management Systems, DMS/LCS, and other platforms.
• Track performance against contractual SLAs and KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure accurate, audit‑ready operational records, incident logs, reports, and shift documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading control‑room or traffic operations teams.
• Strong knowledge of SOPs, escalation procedures, and service‑level commitments.
• Ability to make rapid operational decisions under pressure.
• Excellent coordination skills with stakeholders and authorities.
