Rotating Baker – Cruise Ship

About the role

We are looking for a Rotating Baker to join our cruise ship’s bakery team. The role involves preparing a daily assortment of breads, maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene, and supporting the Head Baker in production planning.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and control the bakery shop and daily production in line with company policies.
• Produce, present and maintain the quality of the bread assortment for daily menus.
• Assist the Head Baker with production forecasts and record leftovers to minimise waste and control food costs.
• Set‑up bread displays in various buffets.
• Ensure compliance with United States Public Health (USPH) rules and prepare for both announced and unannounced inspections.
• Maintain bakery cleanliness according to the Executive Chef’s schedule and protect equipment.
• Requisition and transport necessary items from main stores to the bakery when required.
• Verify recipes and yields meet company standards.
• Support the CDP Baker with daily consumption recap as required by the Executive Chef.
• Participate in meetings, training, and other work‑related activities.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience as a baker in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and equipment use.
