About the role

The Talent Engine of Middle East is hiring Safety Watch personnel for 170 positions in Doha, Qatar, within the chemicals sector. The role covers on-site HSE monitoring, access control to high-risk work areas and enforcement of safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to high-risk work areas such as hot work and confined spaces
• Conduct gas testing and atmospheric monitoring
• Implement and enforce Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems
• Operate and maintain fire and safety equipment
• Carry out on-site HSE monitoring and inspections
• Maintain radio communication with control rooms
• Provide basic first aid when required and stop unsafe acts or intervene in hazardous situations

Required profile

• Certified in Basic Safety Training (e.g., IOSH, Basic First Aid, Fire Extinguisher)
• Minimum 2 years of HSE experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
• Strong knowledge of oil & gas safety procedures
• Good communication and observation skills
• Physical fitness for standing and walking during long shifts

Required skills

• Breathing air, hot work, confined space, lifting and rigging
• Working at height, excavation, gas testing, PTW
• Fire and safety equipment servicing
