Sales Engineer - Fire Alarm Systems

About the role

Jumbo Electronics, a leading business group in Qatar offering consumer electronics, home appliances, B2B solutions and MEP services, is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer for its fire alarm system business. The role is based in Doha and covers promotion and sale of fire alarm and related ELV solutions, proposal preparation and site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell fire alarm and related ELV solutions, prepare proposals and technical bids, and conduct site visits to assess client needs.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants and contractors to clarify technical specifications, give product demonstrations and support the design and configuration of fire alarm systems in line with local regulations and international standards.
• Coordinate with internal technical and project teams and provide pre- and post-sales technical support.
• Follow up on leads to achieve sales targets and maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotations and projects.
• Contribute to market research and competitor analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or related field) or an equivalent technical qualification preferred.
• Proven ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and sales targets.
• Previous experience in fire alarm or ELV sales in the GCC is an advantage.
• Valid Qatar driving licence and a valid QCD or Grade C certificate are mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong sales engineering and technical solution design skills for fire alarm and ELV systems.
• Technical support, troubleshooting and coordination with engineering and project teams.
• Reading drawings and technical documentation; familiarity with industry software and MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of fire alarm standards and local regulatory requirements (e.g. MOI, QCDD) is highly beneficial.
