SAP FI/CO Lead Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Lead Consultant to drive a new SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation for a global client. The role involves leading the finance side of the project, advising senior stakeholders and ensuring best‑practice configuration across the FI and CO modules.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration and testing of SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) components.
• Conduct Fit‑to‑Standard analysis using SAP Activate methodology and define integration points with MM, SD and other modules.
• Manage data migration activities using SAP Migration Cockpit and support conversion activities.
• Provide C‑level advisory on finance processes, accounting principles, GAAP and local tax requirements.
• Coordinate with technical teams on ABAP debugging, BTP Integration Suite or CPI integrations, and Central Finance scenarios.
• Mentor junior consultants and ensure delivery quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of SAP FI/CO experience, with at least 5 years on SAP S/4HANA Finance projects.
• Minimum three years in a SAP Finance leadership role.
• Strong client‑facing and consulting skills, including experience with C‑level stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, GAAP and local taxation.
• Preferably experience in the telecommunications or media industry.

Required skills

• SAP FI/CO configuration (General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center, Profit Center, Profitability Analysis, Product Costing).
• SAP S/4HANA Finance (new GL, parallel ledgers, Fiori apps).
• SAP Activate methodology and Fit‑to‑Standard analysis.
• Integration with MM (OBYC) and SD (Revenue Recognition).
• ABAP debugging, SAP BTP Integration Suite or SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) – desirable.
• Central Finance (CFIN) and SAP Migration Cockpit.
