Science Teacher

About the role

International Teachers Plus is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to deliver British‑curriculum science (Biology, Physics or Chemistry) to middle and secondary students in Doha. The successful candidate will create engaging lessons, assess student progress and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and thematic units aligned with British curriculum objectives.
• Deliver instruction through lectures, discussions, demonstrations and multimedia resources.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and interests.
• Maintain classroom discipline, establish clear rules and manage student behaviour.
• Prepare, administer and grade assessments to evaluate learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with parents, counselors and administrators to address academic or behavioural concerns.
• Participate in professional development workshops and educational conferences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Physics or Chemistry (preferably from the UK).
• Valid teaching licence from the UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA or Scandinavian countries.
• Native‑level English proficiency.
• Minimum two years of relevant teaching experience.
• Cultural sensitivity, dependability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Physics or Chemistry.
• Familiarity with the British science curriculum.
• Ability to use computers and audiovisual equipment for instruction.
