Secondary Art Teacher – Maternity Cover

About the role

Join a vibrant international school community in Doha, delivering a bespoke art curriculum built on the English National Curriculum. You will guide secondary students through IGCSE preparation and inspire them to develop their artistic skills and creative confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging art lessons for secondary students.
• Develop and adapt curriculum resources to meet IGCSE and broader school standards.
• Incorporate innovative teaching practices and technology to enhance learning outcomes.
• Provide constructive feedback, track student progress, and prepare students for external examinations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote interdisciplinary projects.
• Engage with parents and the wider school community to showcase student work and foster support.

Required profile

• University degree in Art or a related specialist subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (face‑to‑face programme).
• Considerable teaching experience, preferably in secondary education and familiar with the English National Curriculum.
• Ability to meet Qatar visa requirements, including possession of a Bachelor’s degree and a face‑to‑face teaching qualification.
• Strong communication skills, openness to feedback and a collaborative mindset.
