Senior Accountant – Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead day‑to‑day accounting activities in our Doha office, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision‑making. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with cross‑functional teams and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, manage accounts payable and receivable, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes, preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar/GCC accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Coordinate audit activities and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Analyze financial data, identify variances, and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments on advisory projects and business performance initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting background with several years of progressive experience, including senior or supervisory roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
• Experience in the Qatar or GCC region and familiarity with local tax and regulatory environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
