Senior Accountant

About the role

Talabat is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting activities, including payables, receivables, general ledger, and month‑end closing. The role supports the Financial Control Manager and ensures compliance with IFRS standards across all financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process account payable transactions, verify invoices, and ensure proper authorization.
• Maintain and reconcile account payable trial balance during month‑end closing.
• Prepare and review financial reports, billing statements, and age analysis for payables and receivables.
• Manage cash and cheque payments, bank deposits, and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
• Generate financial statements and reports in line with IFRS standards on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries and audit support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Working knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
