Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead our accounting, financial, and payroll operations in Qatar. The role involves preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Process payroll and WPS salary transfers.
• Handle month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations and coordinate external audits.
• Monitor project costs, expenses, and profitability.
• Maintain strong internal financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, WPS, taxation, budgeting, audit, and IFRS.
• Experience in real‑estate, construction, or trading sectors is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA are advantageous.
• Highly accurate, trustworthy, professional, and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards.
