Senior Appian Developer - Banking

About the role

The Senior Appian Developer will support the design, development, and implementation of Appian BPM applications for a banking environment. You will work closely with business units to deliver digital transformation initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and QCB requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Appian solutions aligned with the bank’s digitalization strategy and regulatory standards.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, integrating core banking, middleware, and third‑party systems.
• Develop and maintain Appian data models, process models, and integration components using REST, JSON, SOAP, and web services.
• Provide technical support, root‑cause analysis, and debugging for Appian applications and interfaces within agreed SLA targets.
• Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to integrate ABBYY OCR and Microsoft SharePoint document management.
• Perform system performance evaluations, code reviews, and optimization for speed and efficiency.
• Support user acceptance testing, application deployments, change and release management, and production monitoring.
• Maintain Appian infrastructure, including multi‑node cluster installation, SAML integration with Active Directory, platform upgrades, patching, and DR/BCP planning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Appian BPM Suite in a banking or financial services context.
• Strong knowledge of integration technologies (REST, JSON, SOAP, web services) and document processing tools (ABBYY OCR, SharePoint).
• Proven ability to work with core banking and middleware systems and to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience in performance tuning, code reviews, and production support for mission‑critical applications.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and banking standards, including QCB guidelines.
