Senior Cost Control Manager – EPC Projects (Oil & Gas / Power)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Control Manager to lead cost governance across multiple EPC projects in the Oil & Gas and Power sectors. The role acts as the corporate cost authority, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial control throughout the project portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce cost control policies, procedures and standards across all EPC projects.
• Lead budgeting, cost baseline creation, forecasting (ETC/EAC) and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Maintain portfolio‑level visibility of cost performance, risks and forecast accuracy.
• Consolidate project data into dashboards and executive reports, highlighting trends and opportunities.
• Support variations, change orders, claims and commercial negotiations with robust cost analysis.
• Ensure effective use of ERP/cost management systems (SAP or equivalent) and approve monthly cost reports.
• Mentor and develop Cost Control Managers and Cost Engineers, driving consistency and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Project Directors, Finance, Commercial, Contracts, Procurement and Executive Management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 + years of experience in Cost Control / Project Controls.
• Proven track record managing cost control for mega EPC projects in Oil & Gas, Energy or Power.
• Strong experience in multi‑project or portfolio‑level cost management.
• Solid understanding of EPC contracts, commercial processes and project execution environments.
• International project experience.

Required skills

• SAP (or equivalent ERP/cost management system).
