Senior Credit Reviewer - Auditor

About the role

Commercial Bank is seeking a Senior Credit Reviewer – Auditor to lead high‑quality, risk‑based audits and credit reviews across its diverse portfolio. You will work closely with credit, risk, treasury and wealth management teams to ensure compliance, improve processes and safeguard asset quality.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct end‑to‑end loan and credit reviews for corporate, government, SME, and premium banking segments.
• Perform risk‑based audits of credit business units, risk management functions and credit operations to verify compliance with facility agreements, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Audit key risk‑management domains including Basel III, ICAAP, IFRS 9/ECL, market‑risk models and capital frameworks.
• Evaluate treasury, ALM and investment activities, reviewing controls, governance and regulatory adherence.
• Assess wealth and asset‑management processes, focusing on investment governance and client suitability.
• Audit the internal financial control over financial reporting (ICOFR) framework in line with COSO, QFMA, QCB and Qatar Exchange standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in credit risk auditing or senior credit review within a banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, ICAAP, IFRS 9 and local Qatari banking regulations.
• Proven ability to analyse financial statements, valuations and cash‑flow models.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on delivering actionable recommendations.
