Senior ELV Engineer

About the role

The Senior ELV Engineer will independently manage routine projects, applying proven engineering methods to deliver client‑focused solutions across transport, water, property, energy and environmental sectors. This role supports design, planning, management and delivery while developing technical expertise and progressing toward professional accreditation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior colleagues in managing client and customer relationships using relevant sales or client systems.
• Supervise construction activities, ensuring work follows established operational systems.
• Provide guidance on external communications systems to maximise their effectiveness.
• Follow and enforce health, safety and environment policies, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Communicate local action plans, motivate teams and align activities with organisational strategy.
• Identify and report non‑compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory codes.
• Coach team members to build organisational capability.
• Monitor performance, allocate work, review completion and take corrective actions as needed.
• Plan and coordinate testing and inspection, implementing corrective or continuous‑improvement actions.
• Assign short‑term work schedules and allocate tasks to sub‑teams.

Required profile

• Skilled engineering professional capable of handling the full range of responsibilities for routine projects.
• Experience applying established engineering methods to typical problems.
• Ability to contribute to design, planning, management and delivery of projects.
• Focus on broadening technical skills and developing project‑management and client‑engagement capabilities.
• Willingness to progress toward professional accreditation where applicable.
