Senior Engineer - Highways

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Highways to lead the design and delivery of major highway projects in Doha, Qatar. The role involves overseeing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive highway infrastructure, including alignment, drainage, and traffic management solutions.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams from conceptual design through construction and commissioning.
• Conduct technical analyses, feasibility studies, and quality assurance reviews to verify design compliance.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, coordinating with contractors, government agencies, and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings for regulatory submission.

Required profile

• Valid MME (professional engineering) registration and active license in good standing in Qatar.
• Minimum 12 years of highway engineering experience, preferably in the Middle East.
• Proven track record delivering senior‑level highway projects from design to construction completion.
• Fluent in Arabic and English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with local regulations, safety management systems, and environmental compliance.
