Senior Field Security Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Senior Field Security Associate to support the Chief of Mission in Qatar. The role focuses on managing security risk, maintaining situational awareness, and ensuring that IOM operations are conducted safely and in line with UN security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), host‑government agencies and local authorities to obtain up‑to‑date security information for IOM Qatar.
• Assist the Chief of Mission in collecting, updating and communicating information on the security situation in Qatar.
• Gather and verify security information required for proper analysis of the operational environment.
• Support the development and implementation of IOM Country Office‑specific security policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security risk management, preferably within an international or UN context.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and external security partners.
• Strong awareness of security best practices and the capacity to promote security awareness across the office.
