Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will drive financial performance evaluation, cost monitoring and investment analysis across a large‑scale operating environment. Reporting to senior management, you will provide actionable insights that support business growth and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, and long‑term business planning.
• Analyse operational and project financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process across departments and business units.
• Monitor CAPEX and OPEX performance and provide recommendations to optimise costs and profitability.
• Conduct profitability analysis, scenario modelling, and investment performance evaluations.
• Support strategic planning and financial decision‑making processes.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, projects, and commercial teams on financial planning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support financial audits and provide required documentation and analysis.
• Prepare presentations and financial insights for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA (minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience).
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and modelling.
• Experience in large‑scale or multinational organisations preferred.
• Strong understanding of the energy, oil & gas, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Knowledge of project finance principles, CAPEX/OPEX analysis and IFRS compliance.
