Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the business in Doha, Qatar. The role involves delivering financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting to drive better decision‑making and process efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop financial models and conduct quantitative analysis.
• Analyse and report actual revenues and costs, preparing root‑cause variance analyses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Identify and implement process improvements together with finance and business stakeholders.
• Provide ad‑hoc revenue and cost analysis for senior management.
• Define, track and report key performance indicators regularly.
• Ensure financial accounting reports align with corporate definitions and standards.
• Optimize reporting of route profitability, financial accounting and management reporting.
• Review annual budget submissions against strategic targets and control spend to meet cost‑of‑sale goals.
• Evaluate business case proposals for incremental revenue or cost reduction, including CMC submissions.
• Review contracts and agreements for financial compliance.
• Consolidate and analyse departmental financial results monthly and during the budgeting cycle.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• High School/Vocational/Diploma with at least 5 years relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years experience.
• Proven experience as a financial analyst, preferably in the airline industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and capability to interpret data and its impact on the profit‑and‑loss account.
