Senior HVAC/MEP Designer

About the role

Bilfinger is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to lead the preparation of coordinated MEP design drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and drainage systems. You will work closely with the Discipline Team Leader, Lead Engineer, and project engineers to deliver accurate layouts and IFC documentation for oil & gas and industrial projects in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate MEP design drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and drainage.
• Develop detailed layouts, schematics, and IFC drawings in line with project requirements.
• Draft ducting, piping, drainage networks, and equipment layouts using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Update drawings based on engineer and client revisions and maintain revision records.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and fire‑fighting disciplines.
• Manage document control and drawing archives.

Required profile

• Professional Diploma in Mechanical Drafting or equivalent.
• 8‑12 years of experience on oil & gas or industrial projects with major contractors or consultants.
• Experience in a consultancy environment, preferably in GCC/Qatar.
• Familiarity with QatarEnergy, Shell DEP, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, QCS, KAHRAMAA, and Ashghal standards is preferred.
