Senior Infrastructure Engineer – DevOps, SecOps & Automation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading telecom operator in Qatar. The role focuses on designing, building, and operating enterprise‑scale infrastructure, automation, and security solutions across on‑premise and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and build the complete Oracle DBX stack (on‑premise and cloud).
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi/vCenter, Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) and Oracle VM (OVM).
• Perform Linux/Unix system administration, patching, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using Bash, Ansible and Jenkins pipelines.
• Manage VM lifecycle – provisioning, migration, cloning, snapshots, HA and DR.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking and application performance issues and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Support carrier‑grade platforms, storage, compute and networking components.
• Participate in ITIL‑aligned change, incident and problem management processes.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for security solutions, monitor platform health and handle security incidents.
• Implement DevSecOps practices and maintain automation scripts for CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong background in enterprise‑scale infrastructure operations, preferably in telecom or regulated environments.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization, Linux administration and hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and security operations in an enterprise setting.
