Senior Litigation Counsel – Doha

About the role

Al Hadhri & Partners Law Firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Counsel to join its Doha office. This full‑time, on‑site position involves leading complex civil and commercial disputes from initial assessment through final resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex litigation files, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Develop and implement case strategies, coordinate evidence, and work with external experts.
• Represent clients before courts and adjudicatory bodies, attend hearings, and conduct negotiations or mediations.
• Provide practical legal advice on contentious and pre‑contentious matters, assess legal risks, and advise on dispute‑avoidance strategies.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, review their work, and contribute to legal research and publications.
• Support business development through client presentations and participation in firm initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of law with substantial civil and commercial litigation experience.
• Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and deliver clear, solution‑focused advice.
• Extensive courtroom experience, including drafting pleadings and managing hearings.
• Advanced negotiation skills, including settlement discussions and mediation participation.
• Accredited law degree and admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction; additional international or comparative law qualifications are a plus.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy in English; Arabic proficiency is highly advantageous.
• Experience mentoring junior lawyers with a collaborative leadership style.
• High professional integrity, strong organizational abilities, and capacity to manage multiple matters under pressure.
• Prior experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house litigation role, preferably with regional or cross‑border exposure.
