Senior Manager – Economics

About the role

The Senior Manager – Economics will collect, analyse, interpret and report economic news, data and statistics for the economies covered by QNB's Economics Department. The role supports the production of Group Economics publications and handles daily requests from internal business units and external organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tools, data, statistical packages and research subscriptions required for Group Economics workflow.
• Prepare inputs for business and budget forecasts, including economic reports and macro‑economic forecasts across countries.
• Implement KPIs and best practices for the Senior Manager, Economics function.
• Promote cost consciousness, efficiency and productivity to minimise waste and optimise benefits for the bank.
• Manage research products and investor‑relations activities related to macro‑economics.
• Oversee all Group Economics publications and thought‑leadership outputs such as Country Economic Insight Reports, Weekly Economic Commentary, Qatar Monthly Monitor, Global Macro Updates and ad‑hoc reports.
• Coordinate economic sections for the Investment Management Committee, Asset and Liability Management Committee, Group Management Risk Committee and Ratings Report.
• Support recruitment efforts, motivate teams and reinforce high performance standards aligned with the bank’s values and mission.
• Coach managers and associates in the generation of internal and external reports.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in economics and macro‑economic analysis.
