Senior Manager – Fraud Assurance & Strategy (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB Group, the largest bank in the Middle East and Africa, is hiring a Senior Manager for its Non-Card Fraud Operations under Group Compliance. The role governs the Group's fraud monitoring and response, with direct accountability for after-hours, weekend and public holiday operations, including decisions on fraud prevention, detection, recovery and regulatory communication. It sits within the broader Qatarization programme.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage fraud risks continuously across non-card channels (digital, branch, RTGS, wallets, PSP-linked activity) and respond to incidents in real time, including customer protection and interbank coordination.
• Prepare and maintain the operations staff schedule and roster, and oversee approval of time-critical fraud interventions during after-hours, weekends and public holidays.
• Optimize fraud detection rules and scenarios in the Enterprise Fraud Management System (EFMS) and define KPIs and SLAs for fraud monitoring and response.
• Act as escalation point for complex, high-risk cases and coordinate with regulators, law enforcement and the Ministry of Interior, and advise subsidiaries and international branches.
• Maintain governance, escalation matrices, maker-checker controls and contingency arrangements, and oversee outsourced fraud monitoring analysts.
• Support the Group Fraud Risk Assessment, provide periodic reports on fraud trends, incidents and residual risks, and assist Internal Audit, QCB examinations and external audits.
