Senior Material Planner – India Recruitment Campaign

About the role

The Senior Material Planner will support on‑shore routine maintenance activities by ensuring that required materials and spare parts are available on time. The role also provides technical support for expansion projects, assists during dynamic start‑up phases, and helps transition projects into sustainable producing assets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and develop periodic reports for critical and urgent materials, and facilitate stakeholder meetings for tracking and follow‑up.
• Resolve procurement requests in liaison with Procurement, Engineering, and end‑users.
• Support emergency material procurement for routine maintenance and manage new purchase/replenishment of capital, insurance, and repairable items.
• Execute Material Master and Bill of Materials updates based on user requests.
• Handle material write‑on/write‑off, preservation, and project hand‑over processes.
• Provide technical clarification, manage local/external repairs, and oversee material return processes.
• Support Baker Hughes Contractual Service Agreement team materials management.
• Monitor project spares readiness to ensure safe start‑up and life‑cycle maintenance of new facilities.
• Interface with PMT, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve material requirements during project and operating phases.

Required profile

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in engineering or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry, focusing on planning and spare‑parts management.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
