Senior OCI Network Security Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Senior OCI Network Security Architect to lead the design, implementation and operation of secure network architectures on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for a 6‑month project. The role combines deep OCI expertise with hands‑on migration experience from Azure and on‑premise environments, ensuring a robust security posture throughout the engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure OCI network architectures, including VCNs, DRGs, VPN/FastConnect, load balancers, routing, segmentation and security controls.
• Build OCI landing zones with compartment structures, IAM policies, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault and governance frameworks.
• Migrate Palo Alto and FortiGate network virtual appliances from Azure/on‑premise to OCI, redesigning firewall policies, routing and NAT.
• Plan and execute workload migrations from Azure/on‑premise to OCI, handling dependency assessments, migration waves, cut‑over activities and post‑migration validation.
• Provide ongoing administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, security reviews, incident support and monthly operational reporting for the duration of the contract.

Required profile

• 10+ years total IT experience with at least 4 years focused on OCI or other cloud platforms (OCI, Azure).
• Relevant certifications such as OCI Certified Professional, PCNSE or Palo Alto Networks NSE4.
• Proven experience in network security architecture and cloud migrations.
