Senior Offshore Methods Engineer (Jacket Launching & Topside Floatover)

About the role

This role covers the preparation and review of installation methods, procedures and method statements for fixed jacket launching and integrated topside floatover operations. It also involves defining operational sequences and engineering constraints, coordinating with analysis, naval architecture and structural teams, and supporting offshore campaign planning and technical follow-up during installation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review installation methods, procedures and method statements for fixed jacket launching and integrated topside floatover.
• Define operational sequences and engineering constraints for load-out, sea-fastening, transportation, launching, floatover and mating.
• Coordinate with analysis, naval architecture and structural teams on installation calculations, ballasting requirements and sea-fastening design.
• Review contractor and vendor deliverables, resolve technical comments and coordinate responses to the client and the Marine Warranty Surveyor.
• Identify marine operational risks and take part in HAZID workshops, risk assessments and installation readiness reviews.
• Support offshore campaign planning, marine spread readiness and technical follow-up during installation execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Offshore, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 8 years or more of experience as an Offshore Methods or Installation Engineer with an EPCI or offshore installation contractor.
• Proven hands-on experience in fixed jacket launching and topside floatover installation operations.
• Fluent written and spoken English; availability to work from the contractor's regional office in Doha, Qatar.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of marine installation engineering, including load-out, transportation, sea-fastening, ballasting and mating.
• Familiarity with MOSES, SACS or OrcaFlex and standards such as DNV-ST-N001 is preferred.
