Senior Paralegal - Construction and Disputes

About the role

Pinsent Masons is hiring an experienced Paralegal for its Construction and Disputes team in Doha, within the Risk Advisory Services practice group. The role supports lawyers and client teams in giving legal advice and meeting client needs, covering document drafting, document management and client reporting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and prepare documents and manage documents and client reporting systems
• Support lawyers on high-value, technically complex construction, engineering and infrastructure disputes
• Advise clients on litigation, arbitration, project counsel matters and dispute resolution across Qatar and the wider GCC
• Oversee litigation processes and keep lawyers informed of developments on their matters
• Manage the day-to-day activities of a paralegal team, including allocating work, monitoring capacity and overseeing output quality
• Supervise, develop and support team members through training, objectives, reviews and appraisals
• Develop and improve systems and processes to deliver an efficient, flexible, high-quality service

Required profile

• Degree level education or equivalent
• At least two years' experience as a Paralegal or Legal Executive focused on dispute resolution, with a good understanding of the Qatar legal framework
• Fluency in Arabic
• Experience managing a paralegal team and supervising team members
• Experience overseeing litigation processes and improving systems and processes

• Strong communication skills with lawyers and clients, providing clear updates and escalating issues promptly
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and flexibility for wider administrative and ad hoc support
• Proactive, self-motivated, team-focused approach with a commitment to client service
