Senior Process Engineer

About the role

The Senior Process Engineer will lead studies, planning and execution of infrastructure projects that support the growth of QatarEnergy, its joint ventures and asset operators. The role ensures that common facilities across industrial cities are designed and built to meet current and future industry needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and detailed engineering for new infrastructure projects.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with QatarEnergy departments, joint‑venture partners and asset operators to identify synergies and align project scopes.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through commissioning, ensuring compliance with standards and client expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to multidisciplinary project teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of broad design experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
• Preferably 5–8 years of experience within a consulting or engineering firm.
• Proven experience in project management and lifecycle supervision.
• International work exposure with sensitivity to cultural differences.
• Recognized Bachelor’s degree in Process or Chemical Engineering.
