Senior Process Engineer (Operations Engineering)

About the role

The Senior Process Engineer will provide daily process optimisation support for our oil & gas facilities, ensuring that production targets and product specifications are consistently met. You will act as a technical liaison, reviewing deviations, recommending corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor performance of process and utility systems, offering recommendations during deviations.
• Chair Panel Review Meetings for Technical MoC and classify improvement proposals.
• Prepare Project Initiation Notes (PIN‑SOR) in line with VP procedures, QatarEnergy guidelines and Shell DEP standards.
• Conduct adequacy checks, identify bottlenecks and recommend optimisation measures.
• Develop and evaluate technology options for feasibility and concept studies.
• Provide process engineering support for FEED and EPIC projects, reviewing HMB, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, process descriptions and line lists.
• Define operating and integrity envelope philosophies for normal, transient and upset conditions.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 8 years as a Senior Process Engineer.
• B.Sc./B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
