Senior Project Manager - Commissioning Manager

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Testing and Commissioning activities from design through Level 5 handover. The role involves managing fast‑moving, diverse programmes across multiple projects while influencing internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a programme‑wide commissioning plan aligned with client and end‑user requirements.
• Coordinate commissioning scope, levels (L1‑L5), milestones and success criteria for all systems.
• Participate in design reviews to embed commissioning requirements and oversee integration into design deliverables.
• Direct appointed CxAs, ensuring consistent execution across project phases.
• Collaborate with commissioning agents, construction teams, OEMs and vendors to resolve design issues and incorporate test outcomes.
• Review commissioning documentation, scripts, procedures and test reports for completeness and alignment.
• Monitor CxA performance against programme schedule, quality standards and contract deliverables.
• Lead commissioning meetings, workshops and readiness reviews (L0/L1, Pre‑FAT, FAT, SAT, IST).

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in testing and commissioning management for large‑scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage rapidly changing programmes.
• Excellent coordination skills across design, construction, OEMs and operations teams.
