About the role

The Qatar Technical Institute (QTI) on Al Udeid Airbase seeks a Senior Project Professional to lead and coordinate project management activities that support the delivery of training and instructional programmes for the Qatar Armed Forces. The role combines oversight of day‑to‑day project control with continuous‑improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, autonomous environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply QTI project‑management policies, principles and governance consistently across all programmes.
• Support contract‑closure activities for QTI and Facilities CSR contracts.
• Manage the “Good Ideas” and continuous‑improvement process to enhance operational and financial performance.
• Assist the PM Lead in monitoring and controlling technical‑institute and facilities projects, including data collation for reporting cycles and quarterly CSR updates.
• Coordinate monthly risk and opportunity meetings and track BFPR failures.
• Maintain project baselines, enforce change‑control procedures and oversee risk, opportunity and resource management.
• Act as focal point for the institute’s change‑control and internal resource‑management processes.
• Support implementation of the BAE Systems Lifecycle Management Framework.

Required profile

• Specialist knowledge in one or more project‑management domains such as cost, risk, change control, scheduling or resource management.
• Proven ability to adapt project‑control practices to a defence‑training environment.
• Experience advising and guiding teams on project‑management processes.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic, fast‑moving setting.
