Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee the commercial, contractual and cost management of civil and building construction projects from inception through to final account, ensuring cost control, timely payments and project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all commercial and contractual activities for assigned projects.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cash‑flow forecasts, cost reports and profitability projections.
• Prepare and submit client payment applications, interim valuations and final accounts.
• Administer subcontract agreements, payment certifications and ensure contract compliance.
• Handle variations, claims, change orders and related contractual correspondence.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender packages and support procurement activities.
• Monitor project progress and coordinate with site and technical teams for accurate cost reporting.
• Produce Cost Value Reconciliations, cost‑to‑complete reports and monthly commercial reports.
• Ensure all project changes are documented, approved and commercially recovered.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to resolve commercial matters.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures, contract requirements and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of Quantity Surveying experience in civil and building construction.
• Experience in the GCC region is an advantage.
